Through Ruby’s Eyes

reposado + ruby red grapefruit + pamplemousse + lemon + agave + mint + fire bitters + egg white

In the early 1960s, Ruby Bridges was one of six black children in New Orleans that
passed the test to attend all-white schools. She attended Frantz Elementary alone,
being the first to begin integration. Bridges and her family faced much scrutiny, but she
marched on. Despite such hardship, much of the community did support Ruby and her
family. She went on to write a book in 1999 about her experience “Through my eyes”
